Tony V. Harold, Sr.

Founder and CEO

Tony is the Founder and President at Affinity Capital in the Chesapeake, VA office. He has 20 years of experience in real estate investing and development in commercial and residential sectors interacting with investors to earn a better-than-market return on their investments as they impact the community together. Tony is the primary shareholder of Affinity Capital, which is the Founding company of The Freedman’s Bank of 1865 Real Estate Investments Funds, and a member of the Executive Leadership Team.

Prior to Affinity, Tony started his career in Public Accounting with Pricewaterhouse Coopers CPAs in Richmond, VA, as an Auditor on audits of companies with over $100 Million in revenues, then into Virginia politics on Governor L. Douglas Wilder’s Campaign as Director of Financial Reporting. Tony was appointed to a high-profile position in the Wilder administration in the Department of Minority Business. He started his real estate career in deal analysis working for WHF Inc., a real estate development and property management company in Chesapeake, VA, and in 2003 Tony became a licensed agent investor and joined Rose & Womble Real Estate Brokers office in Suffolk, VA.

In addition to his business achievements, Tony is very active in local and global communities and has received several awards, volunteered with several non-profits, and has been a Calvary Revival Church of Norfolk, VA member for 25 years.

Governor Wilder’s office appointed Tony to oversee a statewide humanitarian blanket drive that sent two rail cars to Angola, Africa war victims; Mayor Paul Fraim’s office appointed Tony to serve a 3-year term as Board Adviser and Commissioner of the City of Norfolk’s Public arenas where he was elected as Vice Chairman and served nine years. And Gary Foster, Executive VP of Rush Communications (Russell Simmons’s former company) requested Tony’s help collecting donations for damage caused by a hurricane that hit the island of Jamaica.

Additionally, Tony has served in membership organizations including 200+ Men Inc., Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated Richmond Alumni, Chesapeake Alumni, and Norfolk Alumni Chapters, the Greater Hampton Roads Black Chamber of Commerce Founding Member and Vice Chairman, the Christian Business Chamber of Commerce Founding Member, and he has been a member of and served in various ministry capacities at Calvary Revival Church in Norfolk, VA for twenty-five years.

Tony graduated from Hampton University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, concentrating in Accounting and real estate. He lives in Virginia Beach, VA, with his family.
