Tony is a family man, a member of the Harold Family of Virginia Beach, VA.Tony is the founder and CEO of Affinity Capital in the Chesapeake, VA office. He has 20 years of experience in real estate investing and development in residential and commercial sectors, interacting with investors to earn a better-than-market return on their investments as they impact the community together. Tony is the primary shareholder of Affinity Capital, the Founding company of The Freedman’s Bank of 1865 Real Estate Investments Funds, and a member of the Executive Leadership Team.
After 15 years in residential real estate flipping and building houses, in 2020, Tony found his first commercial deal, a distressed 300-unit multifamily apartment community in Newport News, VA, joined a team, and bought it for $13.5 Million, raised $4 Million from investors to transform that community and the people’s lives who live there. In 22 months, the value appraised at $50 Million, after a refi they paid their investors a 100% ROI, and that deal became the foundation of generational wealth for the companies, the partners, and their families. Affinity Capital now owns and is invested in over 1,200 multifamily apartments in Virginia and North Carolina. To share this story with the world, Tony wrote his first book about his journey to becoming a published author, “Zero to 300!” available on Amazon.com. Tony now teaches others to achieve what he has done, to Make Their Dreams Come True.
Tony graduated from Hampton University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, concentrating in Accounting and real estate, completed licenses in real estate, life and health insurance, and courses toward his MBA. He lives in Virginia Beach, VA, with his family.
Dwight Owens, COO
Dwight currently serves as a career Senior Intelligence Officer (SIO) for the United States Department of Defense. He entered government civilian service in October 2004, following 22 years of military service in the U.S. Navy, retiring in the rank of Lieutenant Commander (04). Dwight entered naval service in 1982 and was commissioned Ensign in 1989 following completion of Officers’ Candidate School in Newport, RI. He has over 40 years of progressive leadership, management, technical, and professional experience serving in positions of increasing responsibility. This includes extensive experience in national security and defense; military intelligence; policy, strategy and organizational development; budgeting and resource programming.
In addition to service to the nation, Dwight is passionate about helping families and individuals succeed in areas of personal finance and money matters. He is the founder and CEO of L3D, LLC and Financial Fitness Group (FFG), LLC, which are entities that help others apply strategies and practical solutions that lead to financial freedom and peace. Dwight has worked in the financial services industry as a Series 6 and 63 Registered Representative for a large multinational investment broker/dealer. He completed [Dave] Ramsey Solutions Financial Coach Master Training, as well as trained as a Master Financial Education Volunteer through the Virginia Cooperative Extension program.
Dwight holds a BA degree in Economics-Management from Fisk University in Nashville, TN, a Graduate Certificate in Practical Ministry from Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA, and an Executive Certificate in Financial Planning from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. Additional advanced studies include Theology at Virginia Bible College, as well as Public Administration, National Strategy and Decision Making, and Joint Military Operations at the Naval Postgraduate School. He enjoys bike-riding, power-walking, and sharing value-added financial and investment knowledge with others. Dwight is native of Belzoni, MS located in the heart of the Mississippi delta and currently lives in Virginia Beach, VA with his wife, LaTonyah, of 34 years.
Erin Johnson, Financial Reporting
Erin Johnson is the President and founder of Bottom-Line Accounting. Her first accounting and bookkeeping firm was in Maine where her family served 10 years alongside her husband at Brunswick Naval Air Station.
After her husband’s retirement from active-duty service, they planted roots, here, in Hampton Roads. Erin is an entrepreneur at heart and knew she would start another accounting firm as soon as the opportunity arose. Prior to founding BLA Erin was Chief Financial Officer at Trident Group, Inc. a Global Leader in Maritime Security, Force-Protection and Training Trident Group, Inc. a Global Leader in Maritime Security, Force-Protection and Training for 5 years in Virginia Beach, VA.
Her formal education is in Business Management with a concentration in Accounting from St. Leo University. She loves football, proudly supports our military, and has been known to work more than a few late nights to get the job done. She understands what it means to own and run a successful business. Her passion is working with other entrepreneurs – the people who are the backbone of America.

Erik Weingold, ESQ
Erik P. Weingold is an entrepreneur and corporate securities lawyer with over 20 years of experience under his belt. His journey in the legal field began in 1995 when he started practicing law and quickly proved himself as a rising talent.
In the early years of his career, Mr. Weingold demonstrated his legal acumen and entrepreneurial spirit while serving as the General Counsel to a startup encryption software company, Wormhole Technologies, Inc. It was here that he drafted his first Private Placement Memorandum (PPM), a pivotal endeavor that successfully secured seed capital financing of over $500,000 for the budding company.
Building on this achievement, he expanded his expertise in drafting PPMs, using them as key instruments to raise significant funds for a plethora of startup companies and small businesses throughout the U.S. starting in 1998.
Simultaneously, he climbed the professional ladder within the legal sector, moving from an associate at a law firm to serving as a corporate counsel for a renowned global Fortune 500 company. This role saw him navigate the complexities of corporate law on an international scale, further honing his capabilities.
In an ambitious move, Mr. Weingold eventually founded Weingold Law-PPM LAWYERS, bringing his diverse experience and deep understanding of corporate securities law to his own practice. Since its establishment in 2015, he has utilized his extensive knowledge of SEC regulations and his entrepreneurial insight to guide hundreds of clients through successful funding rounds, cumulatively raising hundreds of millions of dollars and solidifying his reputation as a leading figure in the field.
Mr. Weingold’s experience covers the representation of clients in a broad range of industries, including, but not limited to, real estate, hedge funds, energy, healthcare, food services, tech, retail, and telecommunications.
Tyler is the founder and CEO of Multifamily Mindset, the #1 multifamily education company in the nation, and has helped his mentorship clients acquire just shy of $1 billion of multifamily assets.
